Marijuana (cannabis) is constantly being promoted as a way to reduce depression and suicides, PTSD and opioid / narcotic abuse).
Pain Journal: this study (2019) shows the increased risk of cannabis use disorder among veterans with chronic pain.
Psychological Medicine Journal: this study (2022) shows how cannabis use among veterans is linked to higher severity of PTSD and cannabis use disorder.
Clinical Psychology Review: this study (2021) shows how cannabis use among veterans is consistently associated with substance abuse of other drugs including alcohol and increased self harm and suicides.
